Either they did not write even a single line or they are violating the #AfferoGPL #copyright license, which requires them to publish their changes. They are linking to original code in #gab project repos (which is a fork of #mastodon).
Even the terms of service is just copied with references to first amendment in the USA.

We found an open source license that Google is against so we're changing to it: Hello AGPL!
It helps prevent corporations from taking our code and selling it as a proprietary competitor.
No change to you as a Plausible subscriber or self-hoster.

"Starting this Thanksgiving I am going to write a complete Unix-compatible software system called GNU (for Gnu's Not Unix), and give it away free to everyone who can use it." September 27, 1983 - Richard Stallman. https://www.gnu.org/gnu/initial-announcement.en.html

It's a browser extension that recommends "better" alternative products and services via in-page popups, based on community-curated lists. Available for all Chromium and Firefox-based browsers.

— Edward Snowden
Similarly, the argument that you don't care about software freedom because you don't know coding can be considered as same. It's like arguing that you don't care about the food you eat because you don't know cooking!

I'm looking forward to using this occasion to discuss software freedom, self-hosting, building / running a free software business and so much more.
